Mid Wales Opera - What's On

MWO has an ambitious programme of events for the coming three years including a collaboration with the Royal Welsh College and a touring programme in both England and Wales rooted in strong community engagement.  We are delighted to have ACW backing in the recent revenue client review and look forward to developing the plans with Jonathan Lyness and Richard Studer, recently appointed to lead the company, following the appointment of Nicholas Cleobury as Head of Opera at the Queensland Conservatoire in Brisbane.

Two new productions for early 2017, Semele in collaboration with the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, in association with the Academy of Ancient Music, led by Nicholas Cleobury and Martin Constantine and The Magic Flute led by Jonathan Lyness and Richard Studer are eagerly anticipated.  Visit our Diary Dates to find out more or click on a tab above to read more about each of the projects including casts lists and venues.

Coming soon in Autumn 2017 'Small Stages' - Walton's The Bear in a new orchestration by Jonathan Lyness in 15 local venues in Wales. For more information about this take a look at our News page or sign up to the Mailing List.
