Biography

Mezzo Soprano Angharad Lyddon’s recent highlights include Mary The Flying Dutchman at Opera Holland Park, Third Lady The Magic Flute (Nevill Holt Festival), Flosshilde Gotterdammerung (Royal Festival Hall) with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Vladimir Jurowski, her company debut as Branwen in Welsh National Opera’s Blaze of Glory!, and Handel’s Messiah at the Royal Albert Hall. 25/26 highlights include a return to WNO in Blaze of Glory! and a reprise of Mary The Flying Dutchman alongside Sir Bryn Terfel for Opera de Monte-Carlo.

Angharad represented Wales in the 2019 BBC Cardiff Singer of the World Competition and was a finalist in the Song Prize.

She is a Graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, a Samling Artist and former Jerwood Young Artist for Glyndebourne.
