Catherine studied at Durham University and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She was a 2014 Britten-Pears Young Artist and sang Kate Owen Wingrave at the Aldeburgh and Edinburgh International Festivals. Other roles include Annina La Traviata (Scottish Opera), Third Lady The Magic Flute (Mid Wales Opera), Prince Orlofsky Die Fledermaus (Clonter Opera), title role in Ravel’s L’enfant et les sortilèges (Barbican), Rosswisse Die Walküre (St. Endellion Festival), Pallas in Arne’s The Judgement of Paris (Bampton Classical Opera) Dyad Ariadne auf Naxos and Suzuki Madama Butterfly (West Green House Opera) and Mezzo Actor A Night at the Chinese Opera (British Youth Opera).
Only a few months ago we thought Mid Wales Opera was finished. Now, thanks to a funding lifeline from Powys County Council, we are within touching distance of having a sustainable plan to keep on producing live and local opera across Wales for at least three years.
