Elanor is a Lighting Designer who lives in Wales; lighting productions for the Theatre, Opera, Musicals and Children’s Theater in a variety of theaters and venues, including unexpected and unique sites. Her work means that she travels across Britain and internationally, including Ireland, Spain and the Sydney Opera House. She graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and she returns there as a guest lecturer and mentor in Stage Lighting.
Recent lighting designs include: Blaze of Glory!, Madam Butterfly, Rhondda Rips it Up (Welsh National Opera); La bohème (Mid Wales Opera); Galwad (Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru/Casgliad Cymru/Unboxed); Nut Cracker, Santa’s Wish, Castellana (Live under the Stars Cardiff); Arandora Star, Eye of the Storm, White Feather, The Ghost of Morag Colliery (Theatr na nÓg); Pryd Mae’r Haf?, Merched Caerdydd, Nos Sadwrn o Hyd (Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru); StickMan, Tiddler and Other Terrific Tales (Freckle).
Only a few months ago we thought Mid Wales Opera was finished. Now, thanks to a funding lifeline from Powys County Council, we are within touching distance of having a sustainable plan to keep on producing live and local opera across Wales for at least three years.
