Welsh harpist Elfair Grug Dyer studied at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. She has recently returned to the UK after living in Bangkok, Thailand for two years working as a harp teacher and harpist in residence at the Tamnak Prathom Harp Centre. She has enjoyed many successes at the Welsh Eisteddfodau, and her performances across the UK include the William Mathias concerto with the New Sinfonia, a recital at Bridgewater Hall and concerts with the CLOUDS Harp Quartet. She recently recorded her debut solo album with SAIN Records and is a 2018 UK Harp Association Emerging Artist.
Only a few months ago we thought Mid Wales Opera was finished. Now, thanks to a funding lifeline from Powys County Council, we are within touching distance of having a sustainable plan to keep on producing live and local opera across Wales for at least three years.
