Born in Hertfordshire, Ian Beadle is a graduate from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He has sung with companies including Wexford Festival Opera, English Touring Opera, Opera Holland Park, Swansea City Opera and West Green House Opera. Selected roles including title role LE NOZZE DI FIGARO, Masetto DON GIOVANNI, Guglielmo COSI FAN TUTTE, Belcore ELISIR D’AMORE, William Dale SILENT NIGHT, Morales CARMEN, Cecil MARIA STUARDA and Dark Fiddler in Delius’ A VILLAGE ROMEO AND JULIET. Engagements in 2019/20 season include Schaunard LA BOHEME for OperaUpClose, Lord Ruthven in Heinrich Marschner’s THE VAMPYR for Gothic Opera on tour and Bartolo THE MARRIAGE OF FIGARO for Mid Wales Opera
Only a few months ago we thought Mid Wales Opera was finished. Now, thanks to a funding lifeline from Powys County Council, we are within touching distance of having a sustainable plan to keep on producing live and local opera across Wales for at least three years.
