Joseph Buckmaster is a graduate of both the Royal Northern College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music. His recent operatic roles include Rodolfo La bohème and Monsieur Triquet Eugene Onegin at Opera Holland Park and Male 1 in the world premiere of The Life and Death of Alexander Litvinenko for Grange Park Opera. This summer he joined If Opera as Victorian in Alice in Wonderland and Alméric in Iolanta. He has an ongoing relationship with Heritage Opera where his roles have included Tamino The Magic Flute and Ferrando Così fan Tutte.
Only a few months ago we thought Mid Wales Opera was finished. Now, thanks to a funding lifeline from Powys County Council, we are within touching distance of having a sustainable plan to keep on producing live and local opera across Wales for at least three years.
