Matthew trained at the Royal College of Music International Opera School. He recently sang Soldat in Zemlinski’s Der Kreidekreis for Opéra de Lyon and will return to sing Tempo, Nettuno, Antinoo Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria. Other roles include Samuele Un ballo in maschera (Grange Park Opera) Seneca L’incoronazione di Poppea (Longborough Festival Opera), 8 bass roles in Malcolm Williamson’s The English Eccentrics (British Youth Opera), Il sonno Arianna in Creta and Licaone Giove in Argo (London Handel Festival), Cadmus/Somnus Semele (London Early Opera), Speaker The Magic Flute, Luka The Bear and Captain Eugene Onegin (Mid Wales Opera) and Sacristan Tosca (Opera Project).
