Biography

Hailing from Montgomeryshire, Rebecca began her career at Scottish Opera, in the title role of Carmen, subsequently making her debut for Welsh National Opera as Countess Geschwitz in Lulu. Notable engagements include Grange Park Opera, Festival Opera New Zealand and The Longborough Festival Ring as Wellgunde. She performed in the world première of Joseph Phibbs’ Juliana at Cheltenham Festival, as Artist in Residence at Presteigne Festival, in Dream of Gerontius for The RTÉ and enjoys a close partnership with the Norwegian Wind Ensemble, with whom she has recorded Handel’s Messiah. Rebecca will be appearing as Dardano in Handel’s Amadigi this autumn with English Touring Opera.
