North Walian soprano Siân graduated from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (RBC) in 2022, where she completed her undergraduate and postgraduate degrees under the teaching of Amanda Roocroft. Since graduating, Siân has performed Pepík/Chorus in Hampstead Garden Opera’s The Cunning Little Vixen, La Statue in Pigmalion at Le Théâtre Basse Passière in France, and at West Green House Opera she has sung Bridesmaid/Chorus in Le Nozze di Figaro and Chorus in Sweeney Todd. Siân also performed many roles at RBC, including Winnie Banished, the title role in Coraline, Maria Bertram Mansfield Park, and Second Boy The Magic Flute. Last year Siân enjoying performing Dew Fairy/Sandman and covering Gretel in MWO’s tour of Hansel and Gretel and she is thrilled to be returning to Mid Wales Opera again for Macbeth!
Only a few months ago we thought Mid Wales Opera was finished. Now, thanks to a funding lifeline from Powys County Council, we are within touching distance of having a sustainable plan to keep on producing live and local opera across Wales for at least three years.
