Soprano Angharad Kathy Davies (www.angharadkathydavies.co.uk) is a graduate of RWCMD where she was generously supported by the the Mosawi Foundation, The Winship Foundation, Mario Lanza Education Trust, and Hartsheath Charitable Trust.
Angharad is currently preparing to perform the role of Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro with Somerset Opera (July 2019) and is also looking forward to performing Delibes’ Flower Duet as a guest artist with the RAF Massed Voluntary Bands in Symphony Hall, Birmingham. Other recent highlights include performing in the Chorus of Puccini’s Tosca as part of the Abu Dhabi Festival with Sir Bryn Terfel.
Angharad will be performing as the Shepherd Boy in Tosca with North Wales Opera in October 2019.
Only a few months ago we thought Mid Wales Opera was finished. Now, thanks to a funding lifeline from Powys County Council, we are within touching distance of having a sustainable plan to keep on producing live and local opera across Wales for at least three years.
