Friends of MWO Garden Concert

Music Director – Charlotte Forrest

This year’s Friends of MWO Gala is an alfresco affair, in the glorious gardens at Gregynog Hall rather than the Music Room which has extremely limited capacity with social distancing.

We’re delighted that Charlotte Forrest is with us once again as Music Director, joined by a trio of up and coming young Welsh performers – Meinir Wyn Roberts (soprano) Llio Evans (soprano) and Huw Ynyr (tenor).

The Gregynog concert is traditionally our season launch event, and this year’s theme is ‘Puccini in Paris’ – with plans for a SmallStages tour of Puccini’s late masterpiece Il Tabarro in Autumn 2021 and our delayed MainStages tour of La Boheme in Spring 2022.

We’re hugely looking forward to bringing everyone together for a garden concert and the chance to hear live music once again in such a magnificent setting.

The concert will take place at the front of the Hall with seating on the paths and lawns in front of the house. Please bring your own chair/blanket. You will be allocated a space to ensure social distancing is maintained between groups.

Current Covid restrictions and guidelines will apply.

Please bring your own picnic – hot, cold and alcoholic drinks will be available to buy in the Hall.
