We’re absolutely delighted to have been nominated for the Wales Theatre Awards in the Best Touring Production in English category for The Bear.
The Bear was MWO’s first SmallStages show, and took touring opera to a whole new level for us with 16 shows in just over a month from churches to community halls across rural Wales and Miners’ Welfare Halls in the Valleys.
With only three cast members and five musicians, we were able to be completely flexible about where the show could be performed and we met some brilliant people on the road!
The Wales Theatre Awards will take place at The Riverfront in Newport on Saturday January 27th and we’re planning a company outing, shoes polished and fingers crossed.
